I stamped it three times in Versamark ink and then embossed the images in white. I’d already used the flamingo die and the ‘be a flamingo’ sentiment stamp, but I hadn’t used the flamingo stamp so that was next on my agenda. My final touch was to add several of the hearts from the sticker sheet. Some of these are glued flat to the card, some are popped up with foam squares for added dimension. Adding a border of the multicoloured wood grain patterned paper gave me a place to add my stamped sentiment and also ground my cacti. I thought it could work with the green card stock as it felt a bit ‘old West’ to me. Needing a new plan, I flipped through my embossing folders until I saw this one with the sun rays. I then fussy can them out and when I laid them onto my card base realized I didn’t really have room for a stamped cactus as well. I’d pulled both off to use on this card but … things change! I knew there were several cactus stickers in the Amy Tangerine sticker book too so before I stamped the cactus I pulled all those off and stuck them onto a piece of scrap white card stock. One of the stamps is of a cactus which goes along with this ‘Stuck on you’ sentiment. Welcome back! Today I’ve got the second half of my post sharing the cards I’ve made from my July 2018 card kit from Simon Says Stamp.
